About The Position

The EEC Certified Preschool/PreK Teacher role is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with young children. This position emphasizes creating a nurturing and safe environment where children can learn and grow. Teachers will engage with children, families, and staff to foster meaningful relationships and implement the curriculum tailored to each child's unique needs.

Requirements

• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (or willing to obtain).
• 1 year professional experience working with children.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to your waist regularly.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors, often on the floor.
• Ability to sit on a circle time rug for extended periods and interact fully with the children.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents.

Nice To Haves

• Bonus if you speak Baby Babble and Toddler Trivia.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Work collaboratively with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Implement KCE's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Enjoy daily meals and snacks with the children.
