About The Position

The Educator Coach at Aveda Institutes and Neill Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting and leading the Cosmetology Educators to ensure a well-trained and motivated education team. This position collaborates with the Institute Director to create first-choice professionals for market-leading salons, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences and meeting Aveda Institute standards in technical skills and professional behaviors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience behind the chair and/or licensed in Education.
  • Cosmetology License and Cosmetology Educator License, where applicable.
  • Experience in training & coaching recognized as a successful Educator.
  • Passion for the Industry and Aveda's mission.
  • Highly developed communication & presentation skills.
  • Available for a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring Classroom and Clinic standards to ensure consistency across the Aveda Arts brand.
  • Teach the standard of expectation of all classes and phases in accordance with the Cosmetology Educator role.
  • Forecast student enrollment and flow in partnership with the Director.
  • Coach the Education Team to meet Aveda Arts & Aveda benchmarks using appropriate teaching methods.
  • Provide ongoing recognition, support, and motivation for the Education team.
  • Finalize and implement orientation and training plans for new Educators.
  • Assist in scheduling and facilitating ongoing training for the Education Team.
  • Facilitate weekly Educator Meetings with a focus on training.
  • Review Educator performance regularly and coach for enhancement.
  • Track Student progress and mobilize resources to address challenges.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate Student retention.
  • Observe and assist in coaching the Education Team regarding challenging Student situations.
  • Create Educator schedules to meet student enrollment needs and manage absenteeism.
  • Educate and assist in ensuring compliance with Aveda institute policies and procedures.
  • Monitor back bar use and educational supplies to ensure budget compliance.
  • Manage performance goals for self and assist in delivering Annual Performance Reviews.
