About The Position

Develops in-services and continuing education for Periop nursing staff. Reports to: Director Education FLSA: Exempt Education: Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (BSN)Preferred Licenses: Registered Nurse Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational offerings and materials based on the identified needs of the staff and the Nursing Education Council.
• Serves as a knowledge base and resource to consult with and educate nursing and medical staff, students and ancillary staff members.
• Coordinate, teach, and facilitate certification courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, and other courses as requested and trained/capable to teach).
