About The Position

Join us as an Educator Apprenticeship Program Associate to provide support related to registered apprenticeships for educators in Nebraska, including reporting data to provide accurate and timely information, coordinating meeting logistics, and answering basic inquiries from stakeholders. This team is dedicated to addressing urgent shortages in the K-12 teacher workforce and to build the necessary internal capacity, systems, and infrastructure for a successful statewide program. The Nebraska Department of Education does not sponsor or transfer non-immigrant work visas for these positions. This position is fixed term , with an end date of June 30, 2027. Any potential extensions are subject to the continuation and availability of funding. Office Location: This position is assigned to our office located at 84th & O St, Lincoln, NE. Pay Grade 4: $21.662/hour This rate is based upon available budget funds; any offer will be made at this rate. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience related to the essential functions of the position.
  • Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., education, business) and experience working within PreK-12 education.
  • Experience assisting with grant or program management and basic accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance to program participants related to standards, regulations, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements for state apprenticeship programs.
  • Maintains databases and spreadsheets to organize information, and disseminates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assists with review of competitive sub-grants for Nebraska Teacher Apprenticeship Program (NTAP).
  • Performs administrative duties and accounting work including preparing, maintaining, and processing financial records and documents, and accounts receivable and payable in the State of Nebraska accounting system.
  • Facilitates Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Database (RAPID) system maintenance and reporting.
  • Assists with program monitoring and evaluation, including coordinating surveys, gathering results, and disseminating information to stakeholders.
  • Compiles information and submits required reporting related to NTAP.
  • Coordinates logistics for meetings and workshops including travel, time, agenda, registration, equipment, invitees, food, lodging, and contracts as well as payments for vendors and participants.
  • Responds to inquiries and provides assistance to stakeholders related to apprenticeship programs and their funding.
  • Maintains regular & reliable attendance, travels independently, and works in a variety of settings.
