The Lyon College School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications and nominations for an educationalist in a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are seeking a dynamic faculty committed to advancing excellence in veterinary education, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting academic success among our students. Furthermore, we are pursuing an innovative, creative, collaborative faculty to engage within an inspired academic community to reimagine and transform veterinary medical education aimed at creating a vibrant learning ecosystem that graduates not only career ready, but future ready veterinarians to meet the ever-evolving healthcare needs of the 21st Century and beyond. This position is intended to play a critical role in shaping the future of veterinary education, developing excellence in faculty educators, and ensuring graduates are career and future ready. Primary responsibilities include teaching, service, and scholarly activities. Teaching activities include those associated with advancing and measuring the quality of veterinary education through instructional innovation, curriculum development, faculty support, and student engagement, as well as participation in some courses in the veterinary curriculum. Service activities vary according to individual preference and program needs. Scholarly activities depend upon the goals of the individual and time assignment to scholarship. A typical time assignment for this position is 25% teaching, 75% scholarly activities, and 5% service.
