About The Position

The Educational Technician III - Autism Preschool role provides instruction and behavioral support in year-round special purpose programs. Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director, the Education Tech III provides services that support the achievement of communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students. Requirements

Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.
Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required.
Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Technician II role.
DOE fingerprinting required.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred.
Experience/interest in working with children ages 3-5 with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred.
