About The Position

The Educational Technician III - Autism Home Services role provides instruction and behavioral support in a home/community based treatment program for 1-3 years olds with autism. Under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and Director, the Education Tech III provides services that support the achievement of communication, play, socialization, self-care, cognitive, behavior and motor goals of students.

Requirements

• Minimum of 90 credits of approved study required.
• Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study) required.
• Valid Driver's License and access to transportation required.
• Two years of experience in special education, early childhood or a related field preferred.
• Experience/interest in working with children ages 1-3 with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred.
• Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of the Educational Tech II role.
• DOE fingerprinting required.
