About The Position

The Educational Specialist will work as part of the P.R.I.M.E. Leaders Afterschool Program by assisting the Program Coordinator in the design, and evaluation of all after-school program curriculum. Along with the Program Coordinator, the Educational Specialist directly oversees the effective implementation and delivery of lessons, coaching & training of staff, direct oversight of the program’s instructional curriculum, and assessment of the program's impact and effectiveness as it relates to curriculum delivered.

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Experience with curriculum development, project-based learning, youth development principles, literacy, and STEM.
• Ability to observe, coach, and develop staff.
• Strong organization, communication and writing skills.
• Proficiency with educational technologies, such as MSWord and Google.
• Knowledge of or ability to grasp elementary and middle school developmental stages.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
