About The Position
Are you an experienced Sign Language Interpreter ready to be an essential link in a student's educational journey? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the '25-'26 school year in Federal Way, WA ! Position Overview: Provide accurate and effective in-person sign language interpretation to ensure seamless communication between Deaf / Hard of Hearing students, their peers, and staff. Leverage expertise in Deaf culture and education to actively promote student independence and foster academic and social success. Coordinate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, teachers, and families to align interpreting services with specific educational goals.
Requirements
- Valid Washington State Sign Language Interpreter Certification or EIPA score of 3.5+
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Association of the Deaf (NAD)
- Proven experience working within a K-12 school setting, idealy with a strong background in Deaf Education
