About The Position

The Glastonbury Public Schools is seeking a full-time temporary Paraeducator for Special Education at Naubuc Elementary School. The location of the assignment may change based on student needs within the district. This position is non-union and requires a commitment to supporting students receiving Special Education services across various school environments.

Requirements

• Ability to relate well to students with disabilities.
• Flexibility to follow a schedule and adapt to changes.
• Ability to assist students in self-care areas, which may include lifting.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic tasks.
• Implement behavior intervention plans.
• Facilitate social interaction with peers.
• Collect data related to student progress.
• Assist students in self-care areas including personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, dressing, mobility, and lifting.
• Perform related duties as required or assigned.
