The primary purpose of this position is to implement the special education assessment process through evaluation of the cognitive processes, educational levels, learning styles, and program needs of students referred for special education services. The role involves facilitating Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings by providing leadership throughout the ARD process, interpreting assessment data, and assisting with the development of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for students according to district, state, and federal guidelines. This position is contracted for 202 days.
