About The Position

As an Educational Aide, you’ll support an after-school and summer camp program for children living in homeless shelters and low-income permanent housing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills.
• Proficiency in English and Math skills.
• Commitment to working with youth from a variety of backgrounds and providing high-quality services.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all daily lessons and activities, including sports and recreation, educational support, and arts and crafts.
• Ensuring that the program room and spaces are kept neat and orderly.
• Engaging in outreach activities to ensure attendance and participation.
• Maintaining an atmosphere of consistency and fairness in which all children and staff cooperate.
• Resolving conflict within your group, seeking assistance from other staff, supervisors, and directors when necessary.
