Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Part Time Education Support Professional to provide direct care, academic support, and positive engagement for students throughout school and program settings. Key Responsibilities: In this position, you are responsible for caring for the students directly. For this role, relationship building is essential, as you are asked to assist the students’ needs in the areas of education, therapeutic/behavioral support, and hygiene as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A strong desire to work in a classroom setting and support students with disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working within the special education field preferred
Responsibilities
- Meets with classroom teacher and/or immediate supervisor to discuss daily activities, academics, behavioral support, social and/or medical concerns related to the students.
- Completes and submits paperwork, instructional data, and behavior data in a timely fashion as scheduled per students assigned.
- Uses Agency-approved treatment techniques in supervising and educating students upon completing training
- Demonstrates familiarity with behavior management and behavior education techniques used at TRS.
- Engages students in active learning as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Provides support for all staff working within the classroom setting and ensures that Education Department policies are withheld.
