Description : Seeking an Education Support Professional to work in a substantially separate classroom for students with special needs. The Education Support Professional will work under the daily direction of a licensed Special Education Teacher experienced in Intellectual disabilities, Autism, and other severe neurological disabilities. Seeking a candidate experienced in working with students to support services to students in a classroom setting, small group setting or 1-1 setting. Candidate must be adept at supporting students in the acquisition of modified academic curriculum, social skills and adaptive daily living skills goals set by the special education team. Seeking a candidate with knowledge of whole communication methods, reinforcement schedules, curriculum modifications, and behavior management techniques. Candidate must be adept at working in a collaborative model with teachers and specialists in order to provide a transdisciplinary instructional approach. Toileting/diapering and heavy lifting may be required.
