ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Primary leadership responsibilities are bolded; cooperative responsibilities are not. Watershed Education Create and facilitate opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved with Plaster Creek Stewards’ work. Develop and deliver watershed educational programs and presentations to diverse audiences (houses of worship, schools, farmers, neighborhood associations, businesses, and other community groups). Serve as liaison with participating Calvin University classes. Represent PCS at neighborhood and community events in collaboration with the leadership team. Assist the leadership team with logistics, communication, and public presentations to ensure the success of the public engagement events, as well as the Green Team and Project GreenER programs. Lead volunteers in restoration efforts as part of the leadership team. Assist with greenhouse work and restoration project work as needed. Administration Manage the development of promotional materials, posters, newsletters, signage, website updates, and social media for Plaster Creek Stewards. Collaborate with other team members as needed. Facilitate logistics for events hosted by PCS each year (at least two: a fall event and a spring event), including scheduling, catering, promotions, and volunteer recruitment. Attend weekly meetings of the Plaster Creek Stewards leadership team, collaborate in the strategic planning process, and handle administrative duties for Plaster Creek Stewards activities as needed. Partnership Development Connect volunteers with watershed restoration opportunities through ongoing engagement, active recruitment, and regular communication. Cultivate ongoing relationships with congregations, schools, and community organizations by supporting community champions and attending various community events and fairs.
