About The Position
The Windsor Unified School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Pre-K to 13 under the general supervision of the site and program administrator (Special Education Director). The teacher will provide a program of education for students who are mild to severely handicapped, implementing an instructional program that allows each student to achieve their individual education program objectives. The role requires extensive knowledge and practical application of behavioral principles, practices, methods, and strategies applicable to students with severe handicaps, including behavior analysis and classroom management based on positive reinforcement. The teacher will also demonstrate knowledge in standards-based instruction and utilize a variety of instructional strategies.
