The position involves participating in the identification and planning of work unit education. The individual will assist in the development of educational programs for medical trainees, including pathologists, residents, fellows, and post-docs, as directed by laboratory leadership and Residency and Fellowship Program Directors. Additionally, the role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical laboratory education programs for students and interns rotating in the laboratory, ensuring compliance with affiliate program requirements and collaborating with the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and laboratory/Division/Department leadership. The individual will also develop, implement, and maintain new employee training and education programs in collaboration with laboratory and division leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Furthermore, the position supports the clinical education faculty with formal education programs within the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences (MCSHS) as assigned, and involves teaching, training, and mentoring students and employees. A competency program will also be developed, implemented, and maintained.
