About The Position

We are Children’s Museum of Atlanta, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), the only educational venue of its kind in the city. We are dedicated to sparking every child’s imagination, sense of discovery, and learning through the power of play. Since our founding, we have been committed to creating a dynamic environment where children ages 0-8 can explore, learn, and grow. We are a collaborative passionate team of people and we foster curiosity, champion play, tend to community, and lead with integrity. Children's Museum offers generous PTO, Medical, Dental, and Vision with a generous portion of your premium paid, EAP, FSA, 401k, family museum membership, guest passes to the museum, museum store discounts, free parking and/or 20% discount for MARTA unlimited monthly. Curiosity, Compassion and Perseverance: Three character traits that contribute to success in both school and life. Do you agree? Do you have experience in an informal learning environment and are ready to create engaging curricula to share and teach? We are seeking a dynamic, creative professional to lead a 3 year grant-funded initiative designed to support children and their caregivers in developing key character strengths—including curiosity, compassion, and perseverance—that contribute to success in both school and life. This full-time, 3 year position is dedicated entirely to the initiative and involves developing engaging curriculum and resource materials, facilitating interactive workshops that blend play and learning, and collaborating across Children's Museum of Atlanta teams to ensure effective project implementation in the museum and throughout the community. The right person for this position must support the museum's mission and values, work well collaboratively, view things through the eyes of a child and understand and respect the learn through play philosophy. The annualized salary is $57k-$60k DOE.
