About The Position
The Arizona Department of Education is a service organization committed to raising academic outcomes and empowering parents. The Education Program Specialist position is part of the Exceptional Student Services Section located in Phoenix. This role involves monitoring special education programs for compliance with Federal and State requirements as part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The data gathered during monitoring is used to create the Annual Performance Report (APR) for the State Performance Plan (SPP). The position requires frequent in-state travel and offers a hybrid work environment with up to two days of remote work, contingent upon business needs.
