About The Position
The Program Manager at the Waikiki Aquarium is responsible for developing, coordinating, and conducting marine science and conservation education classes, field trips, and activities for various target audiences, including schools, educators, and community groups. This position involves promoting and providing innovative input in the development and management of educational initiatives and programs, as well as conducting workshops and training for aquarium and education professionals. The Program Manager will also manage the School Support Program (SSP) instructors, student staff, and volunteers, while maintaining the program's budget and statistics. The role requires collaboration with WAQ colleagues to create educational exhibits and content, as well as contributing to grant applications and revenue-generating projects. The Program Manager will represent the SSP to schools and the community, develop educational materials, and maintain relationships with professionals in related fields.
