Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementing a comprehensive staff development program for local education agencies and other education stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and interpretation of policies and procedures for the training program.
  • Organize, develop, and maintain web content for the MDE Office of Teaching and Leading.
  • Conduct continuous needs assessments to identify training needs and develop appropriate training procedures.
  • Organize and develop training manuals, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
  • Train assigned instructors and supervisory personnel in effective training techniques.
  • Coordinate established training courses with technical and professional courses offered by the Office of Teaching and Leading.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of a strategic plan for accomplishing goals and objectives of the Office of Teaching and Leading.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all special recognition programs and conferences hosted by the MDE Office of Teaching and Leading.
