This position will monitor and evaluate school districts, state agencies, and educational service cooperatives for program and fiscal compliance with state and federal regulations governing the provision of services to students with disabilities; provide professional development and technical assistance around fiscal areas; develop and maintain fiscal tools to support LEAs; and work collaboratively within and across the agency to support the provision of effective special education services statewide. This position will review annual applications for IDEA Part B funding for correct coding and allowable expenditures; work with LEAs to support them in targeting expenditures to support student needs; and monitor LEA expenditures to ensure they are allowable and aligned with budgeted allocations. The Education Professional I is responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing educational programs and curricula within an academic or training environment. This role involves applying academic, instructive, and pedagogical principles and best practices to enhance student learning and development. The Education Professional I may work in various settings, including schools, colleges, institutes, training centers, and other educational organizations. They collaborate with educators, administrators, and a variety of assorted personnel in an attempt to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and support the achievement of learning outcomes.
