About The Position

This role will contribute significantly to behavioral change in recycling and waste diversion across various states. The manager will be a vital member of a team that designs and implements strategies aimed at empowering individuals and communities to adopt better recycling practices and participate in circular economy initiatives. By developing adaptable tools and outreach frameworks, this position will ensure that efforts are locally relevant while maintaining national consistency. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale recycling education and outreach frameworks.
  • Deep knowledge of recycling systems, waste management, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policy.
  • Proven success in leading cross-functional collaboration and influencing partners towards shared goals.
  • Skilled in using behavioral science frameworks to drive measurable participation and trust.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting performance data to improve program design.
  • Cultural competency and a commitment to equity in outreach.
  • Ability to distill complex recycling and policy concepts into actionable, audience-centered messages.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve scalable education and outreach frameworks, including intervention models, program standards, and evaluation approaches.
  • Develop and maintain a catalog of adaptable toolkits and intervention activities for local engagement across diverse communities.
  • Ensure frameworks are harmonized across states while allowing local innovation and cultural responsiveness.
  • Support program design by advising teams and stakeholders on best practices and implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with content and communications teams to incorporate storytelling into outreach frameworks.
