About The Position

The Education Marketing Specialist is a contract role focused on leading the marketing and communications strategy for TPT's animated series "Skillsville." This position will develop and execute marketing initiatives to promote the series, which aims to engage children, families, and educators. The role requires collaboration with various teams and partners, utilizing data analytics to measure effectiveness, and managing social media channels to reach a national audience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field or equivalent credentials.
  • 5-7 years of multiplatform marketing experience, ideally in children's media or education.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing agency relationships in a marketing environment.
  • Experience creating and executing performance-driven marketing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Robohead, Airtable, Asana).
  • Expert-level experience with social media strategy and execution, including paid campaigns.
  • Experience developing audience-driven advertising plans.
  • Experience managing complex budgets, timelines, and workflows.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress preferred).
  • Familiarity with social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
  • Experience in graphic and video creation using design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies for the launch of "Skillsville."
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with project goals.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to gather insights and measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop reporting processes for key stakeholders.
  • Launch and manage "Skillsville" digital and social media channels.
  • Spearhead social media content strategy and audience growth plans.
  • Manage content calendar and ensure timely delivery of marketing content.
  • Lead all marketing projects from conception to delivery, including planning and budget monitoring.
  • Serve as the lead marketing contact with internal and external partners.
  • Manage the "Skillsville" marketing budget, including agency fees and advertising costs.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $70,000 - $80,000 annually depending on qualifications.
