The position begins in Summer 2026 semester, with the option to continue working in the following semesters if receiving an FWS award. It entails general library duties related to customer service and the organization and maintenance of circulating materials at the Education Library. Responsibilities include: Help patrons at service desks, in the stacks, and by phone with circulation, general reference, and directional questions. Check library materials (books and technology) in and out, renew items, and help patrons find what they need using Primo or in the stacks. Support patrons with computers, printers, and other library equipment. Record patron interactions and transactions in LibAnswers and maintain accurate service statistics. Shelve and organize materials, shelf-read, shift collections, and perform general upkeep in library areas. Complete equipment and collection inventory tasks and assist with projects such as weeding and shifting. Follow opening and closing procedures to prepare spaces and secure the building. Help with other library projects and duties as assigned.
