About The Position

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for diversity, respect, and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of teaching, research, and scholarly communication issues in education and education librarianship.
  • Experience or coursework in developing innovative learning opportunities for research and teaching.
  • Experience or coursework in collection development with knowledge of academic and children's publishing trends.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject specialist for education and liaison to the School of Education and other assigned areas.
  • Participate in collection development, particularly managing the Children's and Young Adult Collection.
  • Build information literacy into the School of Education curriculum.
  • Develop relationships between the libraries and the School of Education.
  • Advise and guide researchers in Education to connect them to library resources.
  • Understand and address the subject and disciplinary needs of the School of Education.
  • Promote library initiatives and support library priorities within the School of Education.
  • Engage in professional service activities and faculty governance.
