Summary/Objective Provides all educational needs to physicians and team members for basic and advanced life support. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. AHA (America Heart Association) instructor for ACLS (advanced cardiac life support), BLS (basic life support) and PALS (pediatric advanced life support) Current affiliation with an AHA Training Site Conducts ACLS, BLS and PALS classes Updates LMS (Learning Management System) with certifications Conducts other education pertaining to basic or advanced life measures as required Assists with BLS Red Cross renewals through LMS Performs ACLS drills at appropriate sites Works within LMS to schedule classes Supervisory Responsibility none Work Environment & Physical Demands Position requires flexible hours designed to meet the needs of the departments and can vary from day, evening and some weekend hours to provide classes Requires sitting, walking, standing, moving equipment and supplies. It is reasonable to anticipate lifting 20-25 lbs at a time. Expect fine motor movements needed when working on a computer Travel Travel is expected to any/all of the various Watson locations
