About The Position

The Community College of Aurora is seeking a passionate and experienced Education Faculty member to lead educational initiatives and ensure high-quality learning experiences for students. Requirements

  • Master's degree in education.
  • 3+ years of experience in program management within an educational setting, preferably in K-12, higher education, or adult education.
  • Experience teaching courses for multiple delivery formats.
  • Strong understanding of educational theories and best practices.
  • Knowledge of compliance and accreditation processes relevant to the programs being managed.
  • Ability to develop and utilize well-defined assessment and program evaluation metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and work effectively with individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, creating inclusive programs that address the needs of various student groups.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel and work offsite regularly to local school districts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching in both K-12 and post-secondary settings.
  • Experience with programming and teacher licensure requirements in the state of Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 12 credit hours per academic year.
  • Design and develop innovative educational programs and curricula that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Provide oversight on execution of educational initiatives, ensuring they are delivered effectively and on schedule.
  • Establish metrics for program success, conduct evaluations, and analyze feedback to continuously improve program offerings.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships within the community, including fostering the program responsiveness to the needs of external partners.
  • Be knowledgeable about pedagogy, methods, retention, inclusion, and assessment of outcomes.
  • Provide training and support to educators and staff involved in program delivery.
  • Prepare and present reports on program outcomes and impact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between academic departments, industry partners, and community stakeholders to promote education and workforce development initiatives.
  • Attend required meetings as called by the Department Chair, Dean, or Vice President of Academic Success.
  • Participate in coaching/mentoring initiatives established by the Department Chair and Dean.
