About The Position

The Education Deputy Advisor (Teaching & Learning - Educator Development) plays a crucial role in supporting the Deputy Assistant Superintendent in managing the Division of Educator Talent and Workforce Development. This position focuses on enhancing educator talent across Louisiana through program administration, improvement, and outcomes measurement, while also facilitating professional learning opportunities and building partnerships with educator preparation providers.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree or Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • 1 year of senior-level experience in education or teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience managing and supporting a team.
  • Policy experience and familiarity with data systems and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Deputy Assistant Superintendent in directing program management for the Division of Educator Talent and Workforce Development.
  • Facilitate planning, implementation, and monitoring of professional learning opportunities for educators.
  • Develop a research-based professional development standards and delivery model.
  • Support and expand the leadership pipeline for local educators through the development of Louisiana Content Leaders and Mentor Teachers.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with teacher preparation providers and support educator accountability and workforce development.
