About The Position

The Education Coordinator at AVANCE plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of early learning systems and high-quality education services for young children and Family Childcare providers. This position involves collaboration with the Director of Early Learning and Inclusion to enhance educational initiatives, support staff development, and monitor program performance, all while maintaining a focus on the unique cultural and linguistic needs of the families served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field with early childhood courses.
  • 3-5 years of experience supervising and coaching teachers and education leaders.
  • Experience with early childhood education and special education preferred.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior Early Head Start experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with infant/toddler curricula and ongoing assessment systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data for program improvement.
  • Plan and implement professional development for education staff.
  • Support the Director in maintaining vendor relationships for educational materials.
  • Provide individual and group support for the education team.
  • Coach Early Learning Leaders and Education Coaches.
  • Track and monitor achievement of educational goals and objectives.
  • Analyze child assessment data in collaboration with leadership and providers.
  • Facilitate child assessment data review with teaching staff.
  • Coordinate with other service areas for timely support for children with specific needs.
  • Schedule and implement socialization events for families.
  • Participate in regional planning and leadership meetings.
  • Support monitoring of educational expenditures.
  • Communicate programmatic status and updates to leadership.
  • Meet monthly with assigned staff for coaching and project management.
  • Represent the team at meetings and events.
