The ROPA Coordinator plays a crucial role in the review and evaluation of educator preparation programs in Vermont, ensuring compliance with state standards for licensure. This position involves processing transcript review applications and supporting various licensing processes, particularly during peak times. The role is primarily remote, requiring one in-office day per month, along with frequent in-state travel and occasional out-of-state travel.

  • Review and evaluate Vermont educator preparation programs for compliance with state standards.
  • Process transcript review applications and support multiple licensing processes during peak periods.
  • Prepare and report findings related to educator preparation programs.
  • Facilitate training and observations for program evaluation and compliance reporting.
  • Interact and collaborate with department staff, educators, and various stakeholders.
  • Five years or more of experience in education, teaching, or related student support services.
  • Two years or more of experience as an Education Consultant I within the State of Vermont.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in education preparation programs.
  • Experience with accrediting bodies.
  • Experience with program evaluation.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Competency with basic technology (Office/Google Suite, virtual meetings, basic web design, online surveys, etc.)
