Help coordinate and facilitate all aspects of school, community and volunteer programs and events. Including but not limited to: education program facilitation, community program facilitation, outreach facilitation, some curriculum development. Serve as primary instructor for programs We are currently looking for a: Sea Life Park Hawaii-Education Associate (Variable Hour)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Coordination of all aspects of the Education Department involvement in on-site and off-site Programs
  • Develop and maintain all props, supplies, and materials used for programs. Develop support curriculum for school and community programming such as props, crafts and activities.
  • Collaborate in improvements to existing programs, develop new programs, and fully implement these changes by developing necessary scripts, props, and proper training of staff.
  • Serve as instructor for school, outreach and community programs.
  • Make necessary food, activity and Park preparations prior to group arrivals.
  • Meet, greet, guide, give interpretations, instruct and oversee program participants.
  • Enforce all program guidelines and regulations.
  • Help to coordinate all program reservation and confirmation duties.
  • Help to coordinate availability of needed program and department supplies.
  • Coordinate duties of assisting staff or volunteers.
  • Serve as primary staff for security and emergency situations for program participants.
  • Serve as instructor for necessary classes and presentations.
  • Assist Education Manager as needed. And/or take on those tasks in their absence.
  • Provide reports and attend meetings, other duties as assigned.
