EDUCATION ASSISTANT (Kindergarten)

About the position

The Educational Assistant (Kindergarten) at Stone Elementary School is responsible for supporting the educational process in a safe and nurturing environment. This position requires working closely with certified teachers to maintain academic and behavioral standards, assist with classroom operations, and engage with students in both individual and group activities. The role is essential in ensuring that students receive the necessary support to thrive in their educational journey.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe environment
• Attends in-service training
• Understands and maintains the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the certified teacher
• Assists with the overall operation of the program while the students are present
• Maintains records as directed
• Conducts individualized and/or group activities with students as directed by the certified teacher
• Assists in the care, maintenance and ordering of classroom equipment and materials
• Assists with the clerical duties as assigned by the certified teacher
• Performs other duties as assigned
