About The Position
This position is located with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Headquarters, specifically within the Office of the Director, Education Research (Accountability & Evaluation Division Assessment Branch) in Alexandria, VA. The Education Assessment Specialist will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies for the agency's system-wide assessment program. This includes conducting training sessions for staff and stakeholders, designing assessment materials that reflect current trends and best practices in education globally, and coordinating the development and adoption of new assessments aimed at improving student performance. The specialist will be expected to stay abreast of educational research and assessment methodologies to ensure that the agency's programs are effective and equitable for all students, particularly those in special populations. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing educational outcomes through data-driven decision-making and collaboration with various educational stakeholders.
