About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as an Education and Employee Health Nurse at Montana State Hospital. The Education and Employee Health Nurse is an integral member of the Education and Wellness Department. This dual-function clinical position will split time evenly between both functions, providing direct services and stepping in as a fully capable backup during absences or periods of increased demand. This position supports MSH’s Triple S (Safe, Seen, and Supported) workplace culture, alongside clinical excellence, professional development, and staff well-being within a complex inpatient psychiatric environment. The Education and Employee Health Nurse must possess strong clinical judgment, instructional ability, and operational discipline, with a commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration across multiple departments within MSH. Why Join DPHHS Our mission at DPHHS is serving Montanans in their communities to improve health, safety, well-being, and empower independence.
