The Parent Educator will manage, produce, and present parenting webinars and workshops for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-8 years-old, and aid in the creation of resources related to child development and general parenting support. This is a Part Time (average 20 hours a week), Remote position available in the United States, with a strong preference of someone residing in Pacific Standard Time or Mountain Standard Time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field: family studies, child development, psychology, education, social work
  • 3 years' experience in developing and facilitating adult learning and training
  • At this time, Bright Horizons will not sponsor an applicant for employment authorization/visa for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in related field: family studies, child development, psychology, education, social work
  • Experience in child development or early childcare education
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills in live, in-person, and virtual spaces
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Basic computer software skills in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

  • Develop, produce, and facilitate large and small-scale live and pre-recorded events including workshops and webinars to Bright Horizons parents and caregivers
  • Research child development topics to support development of family-facing content
  • Writing and editing parent-facing articles
  • This position will work with other members of the Education & Development department and may also serve as a contributor on other team and department projects
  • Facilitate in person and virtual. Some travel may be required for in-person events
