About The Position
Adjunct positions are an "Open Pool" for the upcoming Spring 2026 semester. There may or may not be available openings at this time, however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefitted MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. SALARY RANGE: $1,397 to $1,688 per credit. Courses can run from one to four credits. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Teaches course(s) in one or more of the following subjects: Introduction to Early Childhood Education, Child Growth and Development, Relationships & Families, Inclusion and Accommodation. In your application materials, please indicate the subjects you are interested in teaching. Classes might meet online, in-person, or in a hybrid modality.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, or closely related field
- Demonstrated successful experience working with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, with a range of academic abilities
- Demonstrated commitment to the community college mission
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of successful experience teaching education related courses at the college level
- Evidence of successful teaching experience in a community college
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in and outside of the classroom
Responsibilities
- Conducts classes
- Prepares for instruction
- Conducts lectures, class discussions, and experiences
- Assesses student performance
- Provides student assistance in-person and/or by virtual appointment.
