Job Summary: EDUCATED CITIZEN 401 ONLINE INSTRUCTOR – SUMMER 2026 Experienced instructor needed to teach baccalaureate 400-level final research and exhibit course that draws upon research and inquiry from 100-300 level courses as well as community engagement experiences. The 2-credit course is designed to empower students to embrace their role as "Educated Citizens" committed to lifelong advocacy and community transformation. Through research-based inquiry, students will engage with pressing social issues and develop advocacy strategies that align with NMC's mission of fostering healthy communities. Students will critically analyze social challenges, effectively communicate their findings, and implement meaningful actions to promote positive change. The course is taught in an online, asynchronous modality from May 26-July 31, 2026. Resources are provided. Experience teaching in an online environment is required. There are periodic meetings with other faculty and leaders in the course to ensure curriculum integrity and uniformity. Experience with Brightspace LMS is a plus! Candidates with a strong background in community advocacy and healthcare are preferred so one is ready to guide students in preparing their final exhibit and integrating knowledge related to a social issue in the community.
