About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for operating and maintaining wire EDM machines. Primary Responsibilities: Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements Set up and switch jobs as required Prepare fixtures with raw material Operate wire EDM machines Perform tasks efficiently and within the standard time allotment Maintain material usage logs Perform minor maintenance of the machine Ensure that precision machinery is in working condition and properly calibrated Identify and recommend improvements to new and existing programs, documentation, fixturing and processes Verify all parts are conforming before signing off on traveler Keep track of all scrap and seek corrective action when necessary Maintain all inspection gauges and tooling as required Inspect wire or tubes using microscope, and general inspection tools, such as Micrometers and Calipers Operate Wire EDM / GenX Grinder Daily Machine Maintenance and area housekeeping Run production lots and maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or vocational training preferred
  • 1-3 years of CNC type machining work experience with demonstrated ability or related technical certificate program.
  • Ability to operate CNC type machines at a high level of precision, and utilize precision measurement tools
  • Ability to operate shop machinery such as: bench grinder, press, other related manufacturing machinery preferred.
  • Frequently required to reach with both hands and arms and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
