About The Position

The Editorial Supervisor reports to the Editorial Director. They are responsible for overseeing a team of editors while also providing Editorial leadership on their own book(s) of business. Editorial Supervisors work closely with editors, copy writers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of content while adhering to Relevate Health’s guidelines and standards.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and related regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to effect change and collaborate with others to improve departmental standards for editorial process and problem solve
  • Ability to assess level of effort and estimate the time needed to complete a task
  • Flexible working style, with solid time management and organizational skills
  • Fluency in Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with Adobe Workfront and/or SharePoint is a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience could be a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of 1+ editors (FTE and IC)
  • Provide support, training, and performance coaching as needed for direct reports
  • Approve direct reports’ weekly timesheets
  • Alert Editorial Director to any issues, resourcing needs, etc
  • Collaborate with Editorial Director to develop, update, and evolve Editorial SOPs as needed
  • Learn the Company’s unique product offerings and understand the different types of deliverables that are applicable to each
  • Edit and proofread copy for clarity, consistency, flow, organization, grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, and AMA style
  • Ensure all pieces adhere to client brand guidelines and comply with clients' medical/legal/regulatory requirements
  • Create and maintain agency and client brand style guides as needed
  • Quickly establish credibility with the team and be seen as trusted, knowledgeable, and approachable resource
  • Fact-check references and annotations for accuracy and format
