About The Position

This position will be part of the small team responsible for the production of the Carolina Panthers documentary shows (e.g. Panthers Blueprint), player features, Mic'd Up content as well as other documentaries. The ideal candidate possesses the skill set of an experienced narrative editor who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in post-production environment using non-linear editing applications
  • Experience editing long-form features and docu-series with applications such as Adobe Premiere
  • Experience working with Adobe's creative software including After Effects, Photoshop and Media Encoder
  • Proficient within color correction applications such as Premiere Lumetri Color or DaVinci Resolve
  • Knowledgeable on industry standards for compression and codecs
  • Strong video editing with a producer's eye for making narrative decisions and weaving a strong story
  • Excellent project management, organization and communication skills
  • Experience in multi-cam editing
  • Problem-solver who can produce quality content and stay focused under constantly shifting conditions and priorities
  • Must be able to handle confidential, privileged, and/or sensitive information with care and sensitivity
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects under very tight timelines
  • Proven video production experience required
  • Must be flexible to work weekends, nights and/or holidays when necessary
  • Applicants must be able to share a reel, portfolio, and/or collection of prior work relevant to this position demonstrating your prowess as an editor
  • Must pass pre-employment screens

Responsibilities

  • This role will focus on the post-production of feature stories and episodic content
  • Edit content for a variety of platforms, with a focus on creative messaging and storytelling
  • Support the planning and execution of long-form feature stories and episodic content as needed
  • Assist team in the logging and organizing of press conferences and other video shoot footage
  • Maintain a logging standard with manager to help with topic searchability and efficiency
  • Assist with filming as needed
  • Communicate project timelines and manage project expectations from assignment to delivery with manager
  • Ability to prioritize projects and adjust priorities as needed
  • Effectively communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment
  • Take direction, as well as work independently or in a team environment
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Punctuality, accountability, and keen attention to detail in each duty
  • The team structure will require diverse skillsets and willingness of team members to fulfill different project roles in order to operate efficiently as a small team
