About The Position

HID Global is seeking an EDI Specialist with attention to detail to join our growing e-Business team. This position involves assisting with the implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to ensure effective data exchange between the organization and trading partners. As our EDI Specialist, you’ll support HID’s success by assisting with the onboarding and configuration of EDI connections, including mapping and testing EDI documents, monitoring EDI transactions for accuracy and timely data processing, supporting troubleshooting for EDI-related issues in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, documenting processes and procedures related to EDI transactions, and contributing to process improvement initiatives related to EDI.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in EDI.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years Customer Service experience.
• Fundamental understanding of EDI standards including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
• Familiarity with EDI mapping tools and software.
• Experience with EDI platforms such as IBM Cloud, SPS Commerce and True Commerce.
• Knowledge of programming languages including XML or SQL.
• Background in Technical writing and Specification review.
• Basic proficiency in EDI mapping and validation tools.
• Understanding of data formats and communication protocols.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and their EDI integration.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred knowledge: Oracle, Salesforce, Agile and AWS.

Responsibilities
