About The Position

The EDI Specialist is responsible for verifying data in Plex, correcting and standardizing Plex operations, and providing training to ensure the accuracy of the system. This role involves organizing and analyzing abnormal data from PRP/MRP to reduce discrepancies, monitoring the maintenance of Plex data, and ensuring timely order closures to enhance the accuracy of planning and inventory data. The specialist will also create and revise MRP work instructions, support departments in fixing abnormal situations when using Plex, and improve the overall use of the MRP module to increase efficiency for planners.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
  • BS Degree preferred in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) majors.
  • Good health and ability to work long hours with a computer under high stress.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle various variables.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software and familiarity with the company's production process and Plex operation.
  • Proficiency in EXCEL and other office software with strong data analysis skills.
  • Good logical reasoning and strong data analysis abilities.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management and MRP operations.
  • Experience in MRP management and material planning methods.
  • Training experience in supply chain management and logistics management.
  • Knowledge of TS16040 Program manual.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and analyze abnormal data from PRP/MRP to reduce discrepancies.
  • Check, monitor, and report the maintenance of Plex data regularly.
  • Monitor on-time closure for orders and records in Plex to increase accuracy of PRP/MRP.
  • Analyze planning and inventory data regularly and provide suggestions.
  • Create and revise MRP work instructions and management methods, monitoring execution status for each department.
  • Support fixing abnormal situations for each department when using Plex and improve the process.
  • Provide MRP and Plex modules training.
  • Improve the use of the MRP module to increase working efficiency for planners.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of Plex data update plans and their impact on MRP operations.
  • Confirm new material planning attributes.
  • Complete and report matters assigned by superiors in a timely manner.
  • Know about environmental factors, dangerous sources, and their control methods.
  • Execute and implement integrated management system regulations and documentation.
  • Classify scrap and waste from this job.
  • Assist in other responsibilities as needed.
