About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill an EDI & Integration Architect – Banking & Payments position for our client. Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 11 months Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced EDI & Integration Architect to lead enterprise integration initiatives within the banking and payments domain. This role focuses on designing scalable middleware solutions, leading EDI implementations, and supporting complex financial transaction systems.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with IBM Sterling Integrator (B2B Integrator)
  • Strong hands-on experience with EDI development and translation
  • Expertise in IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
  • Solid experience in banking and payments systems
  • Deep knowledge of NACHA, wire transfers, and check processing
  • Experience with EDI standards including X12 and EDIFACT
  • Familiarity with ISO messaging formats (ISO 20022 preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Background check (BGC) required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise middleware tools (IIB, DataPower, Tibco, MuleSoft, Software AG)
  • Exposure to cloud-based integration, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in large-scale, highly integrated enterprise environments

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design enterprise EDI and integration solutions using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
  • Lead EDI development, mapping, and translation using IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
  • Translate business and payment processing requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Design and support middleware platforms including IIB, WebSphere DataPower, Tibco, MuleSoft, and Software AG
  • Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning across Linux and Windows environments
  • Support banking and payment systems including NACHA, wire transfers, and check processing
  • Ensure compliance with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and ISO formats (ISO 20022 preferred)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integration solutions aligned with business goals
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues and ensure system reliability and performance
  • Drive innovation across integration architecture including cloud, DevOps, automation, and emerging technologies
