About The Position

As an EDI Support Analyst with CERIS, you will provide technical support during and after implementation of healthcare electronic data interchange (EDI) solutions. These implementations will involve interaction with internal field offices as well as outside clients and third-party vendors. You will also conduct analysis of EDI transactions and are responsible for documentation and related reports. You will also be responsible for the daily monitoring of file processing and troubleshooting of issues impacting successful receipt or delivery of client files. Qualified candidates for this position will be a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven individual with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-changing, and energetic environment. This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, VB Script, etc.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and basic database design/concept (SQL Server or similar)
  • MS Access database skills, including importing and manipulating data
  • Knowledge of command line operating systems
  • Strong analytic problem solving and resolution ability
  • Ability to understand complex relationships between systems and data
  • Ability to work independently and in a continuously changing environment
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, balance, and review a variety of projects that must be completed simultaneously, accurately, and on time
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact at a high level with persons of both technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Experience testing software
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • Experience in using data transmission tools such as FTP and encryption tools such as PGP
  • Exposure to the healthcare industry

Responsibilities

  • Interpret business needs and contribute to the overall design of EDI implementations
  • Partner with development in creating and executing testing plans for new implementations
  • Identify process gaps and areas where improvements can be made
  • Actively monitor, audit, and report on the processing of newly implemented trading partners to confirm a successful transition to the production environment
  • Support Account Management with operational EDI issues that are raised, or escalated by clients or vendors
  • Effectively manage multiple projects while ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of daily production processes
  • Provide production support through EDI operations processes for CERIS trading partners (customers, vendors, carriers, etc.), including troubleshooting and communication with trading partners, internal business users and IT colleagues
  • Test, and utilize EDI layouts - including but not limited to XML and delimited flat files
  • Create, review and maintain documentation related to EDI operations implementations and processes
  • Monitor the production environment and proactively prioritize, communicate and help to resolve any operational EDI process or system issues
  • Lead implementation calls or meetings with clients and vendors committed to establishing an EDI Partnership with CERIS
  • Communicate project scopes, timetables, and deliverables to all echelons of CERIS' organization
