About The Position

Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Swing Shift Edger Operator in Port Angeles, Washington. Starting rate for this position is $25.34 per hour based on skill level and experience. SWING SHIFT SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday 5pm to 4am Shift Differential: 1.50 per hour. Requirements

  • Willing to work all swing shift.
  • Ability to utilize time wisely and be flexible, and take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and foot controls to move lumber along conveyor system to edger.
  • Turn wane of piece up for determining the level of trim.
  • Perform calibration procedures.
  • Use tools when necessary to avoid injury.
  • Perform any other duties in any area in order to keep the mill in operation.
  • Safely assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Interfor's safety policies and standards.
  • Must adhere to an absolute lock-out/tag-out policy.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
