About The Position

The Edger Operator is responsible for operating the Edger machine to process boards for maximum value while adhering to production schedules based on the species and thickness of the material. The operator will guide and monitor the quality of the boards produced, communicate with the head-saw operator and downstream employees, run a control panel that manages the flow of lumber, assist with the setup of saws, and perform any other work-related tasks as deemed necessary by mill management.

Requirements

• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
• Positive and Verifiable Work History.
• Ability to work occasional overtime.
• Prior sawmill experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Embrace a safety-first attitude and a healthy respect for machinery.
• Prefer working with your hands.
• Prefer to be on your feet all day.
• You are punctual and reliable.
