About The Position

The Nondestructive Testing Sr Technician will independently perform inspections using advanced NDT techniques such as Eddy Current and RFT to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions. This role involves interpreting inspection results, reporting findings, and communicating effectively with customers. Additionally, the Sr Technician will assist in training apprentices in various NDT methods, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least 2 methods.
• Certified to Level II in Eddy Current and IRIS.
• Ability to work with Microsoft Word and computerized equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections utilizing advanced NDT techniques (Eddy Current/RFT) to identify corrosion and defects.
• Interpret and report results of inspections according to company requirements.
• Communicate processes, procedures, and results to customers effectively.
• Assist in training and qualifying apprentices and technicians in NDT methods.
• Maintain advanced NDT certification and perform inspections for which certified.
• Write or approve procedures in advanced NDT when required.
• Supervise apprentices on the job site.
