About The Position
Banc of California, Inc. is seeking an EDD Investigator II to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring that the bank meets both regulatory and internal Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements. The EDD Investigator II will be responsible for assessing customer risk and producing financial intelligence through thorough research and analysis. This role involves conducting complex investigations into customer ownership and control, utilizing advanced investigative techniques to verify identities, review backgrounds, and analyze transactional data. The investigator will compile due diligence files and draft assessment summaries to support decision-making processes. In addition to performing investigations, the EDD Investigator II will communicate with various internal and external entities, including members of the sales team and other risk units. The role requires submitting Requests for Information (RFIs) to gather additional information and ensuring timely follow-ups. The investigator will also be responsible for training and mentoring new employees, conducting cross-sector reviews, and alerting management of any potentially suspicious findings. This position demands strict adherence to regulatory deadlines and internal service level agreements, as well as a commitment to the bank's values and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws. The EDD Investigator II will work in a collaborative environment, requiring effective communication skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
