Requirements

Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses No professional license required.
Certifications BLS, Telemetry certification (Obtained within 6months after hire date)
Experience Telemetry experience preferred but not required.
Drug Screen
Physical Assessment
Tuberculosis screen
Background check (Criminal, Civil, Educational, Previous Employment, etc.)
Driver Record screen (positions requiring on-the-job driving)
Immunizations required for employment; including flu vaccine

Responsibilities

Assists ED staff with cleaning, stocking, ordering supplies, referrals, and scribe physician notes.
Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
Coordinate results from ancillary services (lab, radiology) and notify physician or APP when available.
Assembles and completes transfer paperwork accurately and completely.
Assists ED staff with cleaning of patient rooms.
Assists physicians with patient referrals and contacting outside resources. Completes referral paperwork, and to start a patient note.
Operates within job description. Does not perform direct patient care. May assist as directed by physician and/or RN.
Ensures all paper documents such as an informed consent, conscious sedation, nitrous consent is complete prior to the procedure.
Ensures that Workers Comp paperwork is completed prior to patient discharge.
Monitors patient on telemetry.
Answers phones in a professional manner and directs calls appropriately.
Works as an integral part of the health care team.
Maintains a positive attitude and values while providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure in front of patients/families.
Documents appropriately; follows HIPAA.
Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
